Uzes has a thriving, bustling market, that is well supported by tourists and locals. It takes place on Saturday and Wednesday mornings all year round in the Place aux Herbes. It is concentrated in the square but spills over into the Boulevard and surrounding streets.

Trading starts early and it's hard to park after 10am.

The stalls are gone by early afternoon, when the square reverts to outdoor dining.

The town has plenty of restaurants to choose from. All are well priced, catering for a wide range of tastes and budgets.

Some English is generally spoken, but even poor French is appreciated.
